Meet Our Executive Board!

Meet the Leadership Team of the mighty Twin City Alumni Chapter of NC A&T State University!  We are pleased and honored to serve the chapter as leaders, especially as we embark upon our 70th Year Anniversary.  There will be more information to come regarding our  anniversary celebration.  

Our mission is to maintain respect, promote a positive image, increase: membership, scholarships and donations, promote University initiatives and bridge the gap between inter-generational alumni.  The Executive Board, Committee Chairs and  and Members of the Twin City Alumni Chapter  achieves its mission while attending to the following Programming Pillars:

  • Student Engagement

  • Social Engagement

  • University Engagement

All chapter programs and events align with these pillars.  Some of our signature events include Wyndham Championship Golf Tournament , Annual Scholarship Brunch, Monthly Dinner Meeting Fellowships,  E2i Mentoring, Aggies Got Your Back – Backpack Give Away, and the February One Reading Project.  As a Chapter, we continuously serve our community partners through volunteering our time and talents where needed.

Fentress Gerald ~ President

As President of the Winston-Salem Chapter, Fentress leads with vision and purpose, advancing initiatives that connect alumni, support students, and serve the community. With deep Aggie pride and years of dedicated involvement, Fentress ensures the chapter thrives and evolves with the needs of its members

Asheena Love ~ Immediate Past President

Asheena serves as a strategic advisor and continuity leader for the chapter. In this role, she provides institutional knowledge, historical context, and guidance to the President, Executive Committee, and committee chairs to support effective decision-making and long-term planning. She remains an active member of the leadership team and serve as a resource to ensure stability, consistency, and alignment with the mission of the Chapter.

Iris Thompson ~ Vice President

The Vice President works closely with the President to implement chapter goals, oversee programs, and represent the chapter at university and regional events. Known for strategic thinking and collaborative spirit, Iris helps guide both short- and long-term initiatives.

Tonya Foote-Little ~ Secretary

Tonya manages all written communication for the chapter, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and record-keeping. Her organization and attention to detail ensure transparency and accountability across all board actions.

Giavonni Gerald ~ Assistant Secretary

Supporting the Secretary, Giavonni ensures chapter documentation is current, organized, and accessible. She steps in as needed to maintain seamless operations and communication across chapter events and meetings.

Ken Scurry ~ Treasurer

Responsible for the chapter’s financial health, Ken manages funds, tracks donations, oversees scholarship distributions, and provides regular financial updates. With a strong commitment to transparency, Ken ensures responsible stewardship of chapter resources.

Traci Starks ~ Parliamentarian

Traci ensures meetings follow proper procedures and are conducted in accordance with the bylaws. She supports order and fairness during chapter discussions, votes, and policy decisions.

Rodney McCormick ~ Chaplain

The Chaplain brings spiritual encouragement to chapter meetings and events. Whether offering an opening prayer or supporting members during life’s challenges, Rodney promotes unity, care, and compassion in everything he does.

Committee Leadership

Frances Peppers ~ Scholarship

This committee oversees the scholarship application, review, and award process. It ensures that deserving students from the local area have access to financial support, directly impacting educational access and success.

Fred Henry ~ Public Relations

The Public Relations committee manages the chapter’s communications and branding efforts. Through press releases, media coverage, and strategic messaging, it ensures the chapter's events and mission are visible, respected, and supported throughout the community.

Fred Johnson ~ Budget & Finance

Responsible for managing the chapter’s financial resources, this committee creates budgets, monitors expenditures, and ensures transparency and accountability. Their oversight supports the chapter’s financial health and long-term sustainability.

Giavonni Gerald ~ Social Media and Web Master

The Social Media committee curates and manages the chapter’s digital presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. It drives engagement, promotes events, and keeps alumni informed and inspired with timely content.

Kenedi Chrisp ~ Student Engagement and Recruitment

Focused on connecting with prospective and current students, this committee organizes outreach efforts, college fairs, and events that promote Aggie pride and university enrollment. It builds the future of A&T by inspiring the next generation of Aggies.

Keisha Horton ~ Young Alumni Outreach

This committee builds relationships with recent graduates, ensuring they remain connected and involved. By offering tailored programming and mentorship, it bridges the gap between graduation and lifelong alumni engagement

Renna Giles ~ Community Service

Charged with organizing volunteer efforts and service projects, this committee promotes the chapter’s commitment to social impact. It strengthens community ties and reflects the university's values of leadership and civic responsibility.

Tonya Foote-Little ~ Membership

The Membership committee recruits, retains, and re-engages alumni. Through targeted outreach and events, it fosters a strong, connected community of Aggies and supports growth in active participation and dues-paying members

Traci Starks ~ Constitution and By laws

This committee maintains the chapter’s governing documents, ensuring policies are current, fair, and aligned with the national alumni association. It provides a strong legal and ethical foundation for all chapter operations.

Fundraising & University Annual Giving

This committee develops and implements strategies to raise funds that support chapter initiatives, scholarships, and university priorities. It plays a vital role in sustaining the chapter's operations and strengthening alumni investment in N.C. A&T.
