“A Soulful Christmas” Movie Premiere
The Twin City Chapter came together for a festive Chapter Social while supporting Winston-Salem’s own Cas Sigers, producer, author, and writer of numerous Lifetime movies, at the premiere of her newest film, A Soulful Christmas.
Members attended the December 13th screening, celebrating Ms. Sigers’ accomplishments and showing support for her continued success in film and storytelling. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet and connect with the author, making the evening both meaningful and memorable.
This event highlighted the chapter’s dedication to uplifting local talent, celebrating Aggie excellence, and strengthening connections through shared experiences.
Supporting Families Through the Angel Tree Warehouse Toy Packing Event
On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, seven Twin City Chapter members volunteered at the Christmas Angel Tree Warehouse Toy Packing event in Winston-Salem.
From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, volunteers worked together to assemble toy packages for children and families across Winston-Salem and surrounding communities. Each package represented hope, joy, and the spirit of giving during the holiday season.
By participating in this impactful project, the Twin City Chapter helped ensure that local families experienced the warmth and generosity that define this time of year.
Ringing Bells for a Cause – Red Kettle Campaign
On December 4, 2025, Twin City Chapter members volunteered with The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, dedicating their time to ring bells and raise awareness in support of vital community services.
Members signed up for one-hour shifts between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM, with two or more volunteers covering each time slot. Their presence helped encourage donations that directly benefit families and individuals in need throughout the Winston-Salem area.
This annual tradition reflects the chapter’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy and hands-on service during the holiday season and beyond.
Twin City Chapter Serves at Salvation Army Center of Hope
The Twin City Chapter recently supported the Salvation Army Center of Hope in Winston-Salem through a meaningful volunteer project focused on meeting essential needs for individuals and families.
Chapter members donated snacks, essential toiletries, towels, and wash cloths, helping to provide comfort and care for those receiving services at the shelter. These contributions directly support individuals experiencing housing insecurity and reaffirm our commitment to serving the most vulnerable members of our community.
Through partnerships like this, the Twin City Chapter continues to live out its mission of service, compassion, and community impact.
TCAC Hosts Annual Scholarship Brunch Honoring
Exceptional Aggie Scholars
The Winston-Salem Chapter gathered at Joseph’s at The Sheraton Hotel in Greensboro to host its annual Scholarship Brunch, a cherished tradition that celebrates academic excellence, leadership, and the unyielding spirit of Aggie Pride.
This year’s event welcomed four of our six chapter scholars, each recognized for their outstanding academic achievements and continued commitment to excellence both on and off campus.
The scholars were introduced to chapter members in attendance, where heartfelt conversations and inspiring words underscored the strong bond between alumni and students.
We were also honored to welcome representatives from the NC A&T Office of Alumni Relations, who spoke with our scholars and chapter members, offering encouragement and reaffirming that the Aggie Family stands firmly behind each student — during their academic journey and beyond graduation.
For the Winston-Salem Chapter, this event represents more than recognition — it is a celebration of legacy, mentorship, and the continued success of our future leaders. Closing out another successful Aggie Homecoming Week, the Scholarship Brunch reminded everyone present of the lasting impact of service, scholarship, and Aggie Pride.
Each fall, thousands of Aggies return to Greensboro for a celebration unlike any other — and this year’s North Carolina A&T State University Homecoming proved once again why it’s called “The Greatest Homecoming on Earth.”
The Winston-Salem Chapter proudly took part in every moment of the festivities, joining alumni, students, and friends from across the nation to honor our rich history, academic excellence, and the spirit that unites us all. From the vibrant Fan Fests held at the Koury Convention Center and War Memorial Stadium, to the legendary football game and the unforgettable Blue and Gold Marching Machine halftime show, the energy was unmatched.
2025 Community & Economic Engagement Summit
Members of the Winston-Salem Chapter proudly attended the 2025 Community & Economic Engagement Summit in Greensboro, themed “Legacy in Motion: Fueling Wealth, Innovation & Transformational Impact.”
Hosted by North Carolina A&T State University, the summit brought together university leaders, alumni, and regional stakeholders to explore innovative ways to strengthen economic growth and community partnerships across the Triad.
Keynote speaker Kwame Molden ’09, co-founder of SPGBK Watches, inspired attendees with insights on building sustainable, community-centered businesses. The event also featured open discussions, networking sessions, and student-led innovation showcases that celebrated Aggie excellence and entrepreneurship.
Our chapter’s participation reinforces our ongoing commitment to supporting A&T’s mission of community engagement, economic progress, and collaborative leadership throughout Winston-Salem and beyond.
The meeting opened with warm greetings and chapter updates from the Executive Committee Chairs, each sharing details on upcoming programs, service projects, and initiatives that continue to advance the chapter’s mission. Members discussed plans for fall outreach events, community engagement opportunities, and student support efforts that align with our commitment to “Aggies Helping Aggies.”
We also celebrated the growth of our membership, welcoming several new members who have joined in recent months. Their enthusiasm and dedication strengthen our chapter’s reach and ensure that the Aggie spirit continues to thrive across Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
NC A&T New Student Pinning Ceremony
Welcoming the Next Generation of Aggies
On August 24, 2025, North Carolina A&T State University hosted the annual New Student Induction Pinning Ceremony, a cherished Welcome Week tradition. All new students—first-year and transfer—were formally welcomed into the Aggie family during this milestone event, receiving their official pins from A&T alumni inside Corbett Sports Center. Dressed in their NSP polos and professional black bottoms, students proudly embraced this defining moment before marching to Truist Stadium for the official Class Photo.
Our Winston-Salem Chapter was honored to once again take part in this special tradition. Since the inaugural ceremony in 2023, our members have proudly joined alumni from across the country in pinning the entire freshmen class. This act symbolizes the start of their successful academic journey at NC A&T, and it reinforces the deep connection between past and future generations of Aggies.
The energy was unforgettable as the students marched through the stadium, surrounded by cheering alumni, family, and supporters. Keynote speakers shared powerful words of wisdom—messages that will stay with these students as they navigate their academic careers and beyond.
For our chapter, the Pinning Ceremony is more than an event—it is a commitment to uplifting students, honoring Aggie traditions, and investing in the leaders of tomorrow. We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the newest Aggies as they begin their journey in Aggieland.

Backpack Giveaway 2025
The Winston-Salem Chapter of North Carolina A&T State University Alumni came together with community volunteers to support local students through our annual Backpack Drive. Together, we gathered and assembled backpacks filled with school supplies and delivered them to five schools across the county.
This initiative ensures that students can focus on learning without worrying about supplies, while also easing the burden on teachers and parents. By giving back, our chapter continues to serve those in need and strengthen the bond between alumni and the community.
This effort is about more than just school supplies — it’s about empowering our future leaders, supporting educators, and strengthening families. Every backpack we provide is a reminder to our students that they are valued, supported, and capable of achieving greatness. We are proud of the impact this event made and grateful to all who contributed their time, energy, and resources to make it possible.

Winston Chapter At Wyndham 2025!
From July 12 to August 12, members of the Winston-Salem Chapter of the NC A&T Alumni Relations proudly volunteered at this year’s Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, NC, lending a helping hand to one of the most anticipated PGA Tour events in the region. Our volunteers assisted the Clothing Committee, where they helped distribute uniforms to over 2,000 volunteers, ensuring participants were tournament-ready throughout the week. Over the past ten years, our chapter has also worked on the course, hospitality, transportation and the First Tee.
In addition to behind-the-scenes support, our members also interacted with spectators, sponsors, and players, proudly representing the Aggie spirit. Opportunities like this allow us to showcase our commitment to service and community engagement while connecting with professionals and leaders across the globe.
